I Wish I Was A Better Writer

I read a lot. I read for work, I read for pleasure. I prefer reading to watching TV, though I do my share of that.

I always thought that because I read a lot, I should know how to write. I find however, that though my spelling, grammar and sentence structure are decent, my thoughts ramble. I need fifty words, when I am sure a good writer can say it in twenty-five words. I know that most readers like short, concise writing that's to the point.

This is my third attempt at writing this blog. I have deleted everything I previously wrote.

As I mentioned I read a lot and on the web it is predominantly political reading. I form opinion, based on what others write. I often want to comment on a subject, but don't do so.

Beginning today, if I feel the need to comment on a subject, I will try to do a short post on this blog. Hopefully, some readers out in the land of the Internet, will find my ramblings interesting.

Sir,

Writing will become easier.

All a large article is just a series of comments from one person on different aspects of one subject.

This is something I wrote the other day. Read it. Let me know what you think.
